I picked up a VPS from BudgetVM, who is owned by Enzu Inc. BudgetVM has a lot of attractive features such as they run their own networks into their facilities such as Chicago, Miami, Dallas, Los Angeles and The Netherlands. I paid $3.99 for 2 CPU cores, 512mb RAM, 1024mb burstable RAM, 40gb of RAID-10 disk space, 2000gb of network transfer, 2 IPv4 and 16 IPv6 addresses and in a Chicago, Illinois data center. It’s not a bad deal, especially since the VPS node has Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-2620 0 @ 2.00GHz processors with 15mb cache size!
512mb OpenVZ VPS Plan:
- 2 E5-2620 CPU cores @ 2GHz
- 512mb RAM
- 1024mb burstable RAM
- 40gb RAID-10 disk space
- 2000gb of network transfer
- Chicago, Illinois data center
- 2 IPv4, 16 IPv6
- $3.99 per month
On their VPS page, it says they have a 2 x 10Gbps network connections going into their Chicago facility and Abovenet, nLayer, Level3, TiNet, Cogent for network carriers.

BudgetVM Conclusion:
I've only been with the service for a few hours but I will keep an eye on the uptime. The VPS resources are very plentiful and the pricing is very competitive. With BudgetVM running their network in every one of their facilities, this is very attractive compared to providers shacking up at bargain / budget colo hosting providers.
